Nicely patinated Omega manual wind watch with an interesting background story. This watch is strongly connected to the Omega Ranchero, which is sought after by collectors and currently fetches high prices. Omega thought that because of its name, the Ranchero model would not sell very well on the Swedish market, so the Ranchero movement and cases were kept together and the dial and hands were changed and the model was sold on the Swedish market under the Seamaster name alone. The Ranchero collection turned out to be a flop after a few years and its production was discontinued. Because of this, the production quantities remained small and they are now sought-after collector's items. These watches, now nicknamed Seachero, are a great way to catch up with Rancheros without having to pay thousands of euros. Crystal is in good condition, no big scratches or cracks. Dial has an even patina and looks great. Case has traces of age and use and there is an engraving on the caseback. Leather strap has been used. Service history is unknown, but the watch and its features work. Watch is running approximately +- 10 seconds per day. |
